Go to mikes or Scotts and see what they have. Seems all pawn shops have like new pricing on rusty guns. Gander mountain used guns cost as much as a new gun in there store. Shop local they will work with you. Might even sell you one of there own

Most pawn shops around here are owned by assholes. For a high end gun shotgun your better to go to a big chain. I have ripped off some local pawn shops for not knowing their shit. Also if you know what you want then look online in forums and auction sites. Most places will do a transfer for 50.

And what and where do you pay then. I have done from 20-50. The new rip off is "I have to charge sales tax for YOUR online purchase"

What do I know though, I only worked at pawn shops and gun stores for 10 years.
Guys, there's another forum that is also an off shoot of this forum dedicated just to guns... No $50 transfer fees there. May be a good place to pick up a 3.5" shotgun also... Good luck Op.

Splittine is right. No way should a transfer cost $50. There are several places in the area that will do it for $15 - $25. I use Little Jack's in Milton.
Check Mike's/Scott's for your shotgun purchase. They are having a big sale right now. Also I would check online at Bud's, Grabagun, Palmetto State Armory and CDNN.

Maybe I am just more paranoid than all of you. Little jacks in Milton doesn't sound legit a all. I would prefer to use somebody that might be in business in 20 years. After 20 years they are allowed to destroy 4473. Once they go out of business they are required to send paper work to ATF. Per AFT FFL rules an applicant is not allowed to have their business as a primarily online sales, or gun show business, further they have to have stated business hours and a store front. Little Jacks has no address listed anywhere or stated business hours. He doesn't even have location listed, its just across the street from something. Sure he might be a great guy and all but it seems like eventually the ATF will deny his renewal.

I'd do business with a forum member, which he is, way before I'd deal with a Pawn Shop. He is also military which I would support before I dealt with a Pawn Shop. And by you stating the ATF would refuse his renewal proves you know very little about the entire deal.

And the store front with posted hours is by far a thing of the past. It is no longer required, there are many people that run LEGIT FFL out of their house. There are a few forum members that do such.

A transfer to a gun shop, is like an oil change to a garage, they are more for courtesy than anything. I have done several transactions with Little Jack's and he will not lose sleep over pubcutters lack of business

Tell me what I am missing then. 13. hours of operation. 18a. Do you intend to sell only at gun shows. ATF is known for changing their opinion to create more revenue for them. Guy in his garage will not be in business in 20 years, he has no storefront.

Ha hahahahah its a bureaucracy man if you think you know then your lying to yourself. I will be laughing for days now. ATF changes rulings all the time.
