Anyone have experience with one of these John Deere four row planter? Trying to figure out a model number and if anything is missing. It is a three point hitch.

Thanks

Dunno but all the tires look low on air.

The only thing I know you could do other than trying it out with some cheap seed or dried beans is load it up and take it to Smith tractor in Jay for an evaluation. Doesn’t take much for a planter to malfunction. Compare the parts associated with each hopper and see if they are all the same.

I believe it would plant as it is now. I have everything greased and all parts move. I will locate me some older farmer around here that will know.

Talk to George Wendt, he has a produce stand on Chumuckla Hwy in Pace.
He is an old timer, farmer.

Looks to be in good shape for what it is. Openers and closers look pretty good for it’s age. Biggest issue you will have with this unit is gonna be the chains. If it were mine I would go ahead and get new chains and let her eat. Should function well once you get it set up properly. We had one that was similar when I was younger.
