Clark Pulliam: 55-year-old Fairhope, Alabama, man was reported missing Dec. 30, 2010, after his family told authorities in Florida that he did not return from a poker tournament at a Pensacola greyhound track.

FAIRHOPE, Ala. -- A 55-year-old Fairhope man was reported missing this morning after his family told authorities in Florida that he did not return from a poker tournament.

The Escambia County, Fla., Sheriff’s Department identified the missing man as Danny Clark Pulliam.

According to a sheriff’s department news release, Pulliam planned to take part in a poker tournament Wednesday night at Pensacola Greyhound Track in southwestern Escambia County.

Family members notified authorities after he failed to return home and his vehicle was found at the track.

They told deputies that Pulliam frequented the poker room at the dog track, located northwest of Pensacola Naval Air Station and east of the Lillian bridge.

The family told deputies that Pulliam does not suffer from any mental or psychological issues that might cause him to disappear.

Pulliam is white, about 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs about 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a hat with a University of Alabama “A” logo, a dark multi-color shirt, a gray windbreaker, blue jeans and white velcro shoes.

The department’s missing persons unit is handling the case. Anyone who knows of Pulliam’s whereabouts should call 850-436-9630.
