Got on a pretty decent bite of trout this morning from sunrise til about 9. not much happening on top water before light except a couple bigger trout that werent aggressive enough to get hooked decently. Mirrodines did the trick, just about every cast was a 15 inch trout or a skipjack. noticed the fish would barely hit, but once you hooked em they would go insane even if it was a 14 inch fish. Ended up with our 2 man limit, one about 22 inches, with a couple ripped lips on fish in the 20s. had our trout fix done by 9 and tried one of my flounder spots which happened to have 4 bass trackers all over it so we gave up on that idea, ended up doing a little more exploring and just came up with one hybrid. most of the trout had less than about 7 spots on each side and like I said even the smaller ones fought like a big bluefish, pretty fun stuff on light tackle.
