Tried kaiser landing, the road is horrible leading back there, thought the trailer axle was going rip off. River is way up, couldn't even find a spot dry enough to get out onto. The few places that looked ok had boats tied up so I kept going. Ended up near cotton lake, water everywhere, no sign. Wound up with one damn squirrel. I get so tired of the learning curve, escambia is a sumbitch.

Never hunted eacambia but I do hunt choctawhatchee. It's very tough to hunt flooding timber. Trails move, mast is here today and gone tomorrow, and the animals are nothing close to patternable because you might be 3' underwater the next time your in that spot.

When it comes together it sure is sweet. It always feels like an adventure when I head to the river to hunt.

Keep at it and good luck.
