Here is the 2011 EDF 990 form that shows where their money is directed - you will see that in 2011 (almost 2 years ago) EDF gave The Charter Fisherman's Association $161,000 for "Organizational Development". That's $13,400/month in 2011.

EDF already laundered $48,000 to get CFA started, so by the end of 2011 CFA received well over $200,000 - that's a LOT of astroturf - they could probably carpet the Astrodome for that much money.

No telling how much they have received by now, almost 2 years later.

Astroturfing is the practice of masking the sponsors of a message (e.g. political, advertising, or public relations) to give the appearance of it coming from a disinterested, grassroots participant. Astroturfing is intended to give the statements the credibility of an independent entity by withholding information about the source's financial connection.

They still claim they are an "independent" group of charter captains....what a joke.

Exactly.

BUT, they ARE an "independent" group of charter captains who formed The Charter Fisherman's Association.....not.

True to form to most anything they say - they say one thing, but if you look behind the curtain, they are doing the opposite.

They are EXTREMELY dependent upon their mother organization to provide everything you said, and are willing to lie their butts off just so they can "get theirs".

They were lying about their intentions 4 years ago, and they are still lying today.

Here is EDF/CFA's Scott Hickman 4 years ago;

"Ifqs and Catch shares are not even on the table so why are we even discussing that all that is being put up is sector seperation and a reporting system for charterboats peroid. Calm Seas..Capt Scott Hickman"

If that doesn't tell the story, I don't know what does.
