Got out after the storms rolled through Saturday morning. The bite was initially tough but then they perked up after the wind and clouds picked up later in the afternoon. We managed our limit and left them biting. The fish were on wind blown points and flats. The largest one was about 19.5"...Caught them with paddle tail swimbaits...A few on topwater also.

First cast of the day I hooked into a nice spanish...It cut me off though...I'd like to dabble with the spanish next time out...Any pointers?

Nice trout! As noted, a tougher leader like a thin wire or heavy mono, and work the bait like you're trying to keep it away from a chasing fish. ;)
