Lots of dredging, storms, shifting shoals, etc this winter. What a season its been!

I have not been out of the pass for several months now, anyone been out recently?

If so, how are conditions? I am ready to start trolling, getting ready for cobia season, and burning off winter stored fuel (after 12 days of temps below 20 degrees I know my fuel - even with Stabil - needs to be burned off and replaced with fresh stuff.....)

Have the USCG folks kept up with the channel markers and shoals? One guy I know was out a couple of weeks ago and said he nearly had to run into the east side jetties and then veer to 270 degrees to keep up with the channel now. And this is AFTER dredging....

Let's get conditions updated so everyone can be safe these next few weeks as temps warm up and more boats go outside....

Fished a tourney yesterday and it was a horrible day of fishing.

Water looks like chocolate milk, water in the low 50's. Water onthe beach is beautiful.Sheepies being caught off the Jettys, there were thousands of red seen on the beach, skiddish and slow to eat at least with gulps and spoons. Only a very small handful of reds caught out of 27 or so boats yesterday.

how was the channel regarding water depth? I need a good 5-6 ft to get out but with all the dredging going on, not sure how best to line up from inside of the jetties to get out. Are the bouys pretty much repositioned to make the run outside OK?
