There's no nearshore section so I'll post this reporthere.There are bonito everywhere along the beaches from the East pass downpast the pier - right off the beach to 2-4 miles out.They are not largely concentrated, but smaller schoolsare popping up in good numbers. They are loving thebubble rigs with clarkspoons tied on the end instead of the straw&hook. They maynot be blackfin or yellowfin, but they still have that cooltuna-ness about them for sure - lol. They were 5-6 lbs and feeding on minnowsswimming under the protection of the jellyfish. :)

Some of the bottom areas around the sea buoywere also full offish today.

Hey at least you got out and had some rod bending, drag screaming, line peeling action. Bonitos are a blast on light tackle. Tight lines until next time. Shoot down east beach next time the fish are jumping in the boat.
