Let's see if Americans learned or if we re-elect Obama when he's failing just like we did Bush! I didn't vote in this election because I didn't care for either candidate and I said I would hold out judgement on Obama until I see his actions, so far his actions have done nothing to make me think he'll be a good president when it's all said and done.:banghead

Below link is to the comments that were made on the plan.looks like there were 1900+ commentsmade-many by tree huggers -many by fisherman.
you can sort the public comments by State and city. Total of 23 comments from the entire State of Alabama and 5 total comments listinga hometown of Pensacola...
I would have thought there would have been more PFF members that would have made a comment....

Open your eyes! Do you enjoy a society that is run by insurance companies? They are the big problem. I don't agree with everything that's going on either but "W" sure wasn't the answer. This thread needs to be moved.

While we keep electing politicians we will have the same issues that we have now.
I almost voted for Obama because I really thought that he may be different but I went with my gut and voted for McCain. In the end it didnt matter but I feel good at least that I wasnt taken like most of the public.

I don't like to comment on political topics because it doesn't do any good, but as a member of the insurance industry, I think you should do a little research on this topic. Insurance companies do not harvest any extraordinary profits, and they are not out to run society either. Insurance products, be it life, health, or property and casualty, make many of our lives much more secure and predictable. If you don't like insurance companies, don't buy their products. Let us know what your next trip to the doctor's office runs... Or better yet, post up a reportonthe merits of insuranceafter the next hurricane flattens your house...

I dont think insurance companies are the problem either. It would be nice if policies could come down in price so everyone could afford one. But, when doctors have to carry million dollar malpractice policies due to all the legal sharks out there the doctors have to charge more. The drug industry is out of control, there is more cost. And the HMO situation isnt helping anyone out either. All of these things add cost which makes policies go up making them out of reach for some folks. I think the insurance companies are charging a fair price for what they are expected to cover.
