I got 5 of these emails last night from craigslist. I am selling something on there and i always get a few spam emails but this is b.s. 5 in one night. My spam filter is on and usuall the spam i get from them goes in that folder but these made it past to my inbox. This is the email..

I get those everytime I post something. Usually just on the first day. Even get text messages on my cell phone. I just delete them.

I quit even going to that website. You look at the sporting goods secrion and its full of postings for purses, furniture, dvd players, etc. And it just recently got like this, CL is going to be a thing of the past.

NEVER NEVER post your area code, if you list a phone number selling something. People troll the boards on a nationwide level, harvesting phone numbers for telamarketers.

The job postings are for the most part a joke. Lots of work at home scams and the like. Ads cleverly written that look like decent jobs, but when you respond they want you to sign up for some sort of nationwide website. Craigslist needs to do a beter job policing it's crap.

Now, all that being said... If your looking for a hooker, its the place to go. :banghead

I use www.caiglook.com to peruse the ads. Lets me look at multiple domains at one time. Its great!

I NEVER put my phone number on any of my ads. NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

They can email me if they need me! LOL

5 or 6 a day ISNT bad for craigslist! Now don't get me wrong, it still sucks but I've had and still get get, spam mail sent to my inbox from ads months ago. Craigslist is a place for all spammers and scammers to simply have a field day on a person that doesn't know any better. I personally think the sight should just be deleted and nobody speak a word of it again.

I post my business on Craigslist once or twice a week and get business off of it. Yeah theRE: emails fall into my inbox which annoy me but I jus delete them. Seems like Craigslist could find away to stop this BS

CL has been a big help for me. I have just recently sold a car thru the site and also get some business from there as well. I would never post my phone number in an ad. In fact, I would probably set up a seperate email account just to handle any CL dealings. I dont get all the spam that some people say they get, but the things I have posted have only been in the for sale sections.

I will say that CL has saved me a ton of money in getting some good deals. Most recent deal was 2 year old GE appliances (side-by-side fridge, oven/stove, dishwasher, over the top microwave) for 350 bones.

Big mistake. This will result in your adress being sold to other spammers as a valid address. The best course of action is to delete the email without opening it.

See what I do is use the option to hide your email and use a alias email from craigslist. Also, I have several emails set-up. One personal, one business, one for all the other crap. Then I set them up on a email program or just use gmail and set cl to my crap inbox and it works great for me to not have to worry about it. Also, helps to delete your ad after your done with it. Thats worked really well for me.
