Don't the Cobia migrate through here to spawn and summer in the Mississippi River Delta? So this oil spill will probably wipe them out for years to come??? I was just talking to a guy this morning who fished the old wood pier here 40 years ago. He said that there used to be schools of up to 300 ling at a time migrate through. Kind of like what the Jacks do now. Can you imagine?

Hoe it won't be 40 years before we get to where we are today Pray that the oil stays offshore...or not, what will it do to the reefs is it sinks to the bottom through the chemical emulsion process? ..... not good in all circumstances.

One positive thing to think about is that 1/2 the fish go up the east coast every year, so there is still going to be a big spawn going on off the Carolinas or where ever they spawn over there. Also if it kills the eggs, but the fish make it through there is always next years spawn. It's the bait fish that only live one year and only spawn once before they die that I am worried about the most.
