Anyone try chunking using a sea anchor instead of anchoring? Say for example chunking for bft at the edge. Under decent conditions with light wind and light current, do you think the drift will be slow enough to chunk effectively?

No sea anchor for chunking. Here's why: Sea anchor is going to be down-current of you. Your chunks and your baits are going to go down-current, right into the sea anchor.

The current is generally aligned with the sea. If it isn't, things get more complicated. So just point the bow into the current and bump the engines every so often. Chunk off the stern and your chunks and baits will flow back behind the boat. It's pretty simple.

It works fine just have to fish from the bow , unless it's semi calm and place the sea anchor mid ship .
