I have caught about 100 hardhead cats the last two mornings with little else. They bite so fast nothing else has a chance. I am not sure if there is anything else in the surf. The first 40 yards has chocolate water. This is on the Bon Secour Wildlife Area in AL. We have had a strong wind out of the west and a strong current from west to east. Is this brown water coming out of Mobile Bay? That is just a theory of mine. Is there another explanation?

It is hard to tell the color of the water from the picture attached, but it is very brown. Will it clear as long as the wind and current are strong from the west?

It's been a rough month for bait fishing the surf here in PCB as well. It goes like this: Bait hooks, cast, reel up slack, notice nibbles, then nothing. Time to reel in and bait the hooks again.

It's mostly Pinfish in these parts. Can't even catch them on my 1/O circle hooks. Mui frustrante.
