Well I went out today to make sure the newly acquired .30-06, my goal was to just make sure the sites were set and possibly adjust them if needed. We set off an are about 50 yards back and took a few shots at our targets. It seemed to be a decent few shots, checked the targets, decided that it I need to try my smaller targets. Eventually after 12 shots I ended the day with trying to hit a nickel at 50 yards, we ended the day of shooting with a this very nice shot!!!

Thanks guys, yea I went ahead and cliked it one time to the right to take care of it but thanks.

Carver, I picked up a Remington, and I used Remington core-lokt at 180grain. And I have experienced the same with coins (lack of a better term) exploding. The secret I have found is that you hang it up without anything touching the back. See that orange box is the background of the picture... The slot of open area, I placed the nickel in the slot. I've done similar to this with all the coins I have shot, it seemed with something hard supporting it behind it, them seem to desintergrate (s/p).

Isn't that illegal? Destroying federal property I think. I'm not trying to be a douchebag, I'm honestly just curious about it. Heck of a shot though!
Yep. The fine, if they decide to prosecute, is about $100. Or they can decide to lock you up for 6 months. I don't believe they actually prosecute much, though.
