Hey Guys,

I am relocating from Memphis to Charleston this month. I just started figuring out gulf and pier in OBA, but now a big change. Really excited to be living this close to the beach, but understand alot is different fishing there. Anyone have any experience, tips or point my in right direction?

Thanks In Advance

I dont have a boat. Thinking about a yak. What can I do surf or pier? I have a Penn Battle 6000 on an 8' ledros surf. Also a stric ci4 4000 on a 7'6"St Croix mojo surf. Is gear adequate? Where do I start? What was your fav tackle shop up there?

Surf fishing in a word it sucks you can kayak the tidal creeks and do very well on the inshore stuff. You really need a boat there I got plenty of folks that can probable help you out. Hadrells point is the only tackle shop to deal with there I still order stuff from them they are in west Ashley and a great bunch of guys

What he said. The inshore fishing is off the hook!!! There are some HUGE Flounder to be had. I wish I was lucky enough to be going there!!
http://www.fishcall.com/ this guy knows what's up. I fished with him several years ago and it was one of the best trips ever. You'll love the 6' plus tides!!!!! Great historical area. Jump right in and enjoy everything that's there. You won't be sorry!!!!!!!!!!:thumbsup:
