I’m looking to get a cast net for bull minnows in 1-2 ft water, can throw most pretty well but have an 8 ft 1/4 that weighs a ton I find hard to throw. But can throw my old 8ft 3/8 in no problem but seems about 90% swim under/through. Any suggestions
1/4 or 3/8? Where can I find a very light 8 ft net without mortgaging my house 100-120$ or so.

3/8....... The 1/4" catches bait that are too small, and you will waste time getting them all out. Makes a bigger shadow when you throw, catches more wind, and sinks slower. In other words, the 1/4" is a pain in the A$$.
