Hello all,

I've been checking out some used CH17s on the gulf coast lately. I'd really like a 19 or 21, but i have a brand new etec 90 (and a loan pmt) with a 20" shaft and id hate to part with it. Would i have any problems with a CH17 with a 20" transom paired with my etec?

I'll bump this for you. You might try posting on the Hull Truth or even call Cape Horn and ask them.

I'm not sure, but 20" seems awfully short. Anybody else have an expert opinion?

What is the boat designed for?

If it's for a 20in shaft motor it will work fine. If it's designed for a 25in shaft it will cativate and not get on plane.
