It was a difficult choice for me, choosing new reels, Penn Internationals (which I already owned) Avet, aluctro-whatevers, Tiagras, etc, etc, but after much research into the style of fishing I do I finally settled on Canyon Reels. Many phone calls, emails and text messages later between me and the owner of Canyon, I was able to place my order.
I finally received my new Canyon Reels on Saturday, and could not wait to open the boxes. The owner of Canyon Reels was a great help and VERY customer oriented. I will have a few Demo reels coming soon so if anyone has any interest in Canyon Reels, either selling through your shop or purchasing for use, please feel free to contact me. A special thank you to Don at Canyon Reels for all the emails and phone conversations and for bringing us onto Canyon’s Pro-staff and sponsorship.

Now I had two great reels but I feel that most reels look similar to each other and I really wanted these reels to stand out. So after seeing Paul Boyden’s fish art (owner of Metalheadz Designs) displayed at Outcast Bait and Tackle shop I felt like he would be able to make something happen. I spoke with him at length and without a color to show him, his intelligence and customer relations was very savvy and he was able to literally pull the colors I was thinking of out of my head and put them on the reels. I could not be more impressed and happy with the end result. Now he said he would take apart the reels for painting. I did not know that meant completely breaking down the reels to nothing! Now if I were to do this there would undoubtedly be a few spare parts when I was done. With Paul, being a master of many trades and skills was able to put it all together, paint and no extra parts! Paul is willing to paint ANYTHING so please contact him through his websites with any questions or ideas.

-Here is a picture profile from start to finish, Thank you so much Paul! The pics are great but do not do these reels justice until seen in the sunlight!
