Went out today had 4 rods and reels set up 2 of them have 30# Cajun Red on them rigged for bottom bumping. Got two nice hook up's and both lines broke off. so I pick up my medium action pole because the bite was hot and didn't want to spend time rigging. Within 30-45 minuets I haul 6 AJ's to the boat all about 24-25 inches, of course it's spooled with 80# braid, but I caught a nice King that was pulling real well on my fourth rod that was spooled with 30# Berkley bring him in no problem. I've been using the Cajun Red All summer and have had a lot of break off's, is it something I'm doing or are others having problems with it also????

that line just sucks, plain and simple... and it doesn't turn "clear" underwater as they advertise... it looks black under water.

put some ande, or better yet SUFIX on those reels, problem solved.

Had it on a couple of light tackle rods and took it off. I found it had much more memory than comparable weight lines.

I have never used it myself, however I do know that the claim that it dissapears at depth has to be false. Being a diver for 37 years or so. Red doesn't dissapear under water it turns silver/grey. So I can't imagine how it could be better than fluorocarbon which has the same light infraction as water. I'm not a rocket scientist but I do know 1 and 1 is not 3.Try ande back country if you want low memory, great casting ability and good line strength.

WHEN YOU PICK IT OFF THE RACK AT WALMART.... DROP IT AN STOMP ON IT... AN TELL IT THAT IS WORTH LESS FOR SALT WATER FISHING....

unless your catching the small ones... like penny whompers, or kitty cats

Well that's a pretty convincing thread. Thanks to all of you for the input I'm stripping it off right now. I'll look at replacing it with suffix. Thanks Again.

i have used it fishing for specks once and my buddy was right next to me, same spot same bait.

i waited an hour and nothing took it. finally i switched to a 440ssg with lime green ande and caught 12 legal specks in 5 minutes.

don't buy that crappy line. if your going to get a nice new expensive reel why putt crappy line on it?

get sufix or ande for mono.

power pro if you like braid.

I have it on 12 spinners and 4 baitcasters, all with 12lb. test and haven't had one problem with it. No memory,no breakoffs. Like with all mono lines and doesn't matter who makes it,keep it out of the sun when not in use, rinse them off with freshwater when done, put it on correctly and it'll last. Maybe i'm the exception or it's the luck of the Irish, don't know but I like it. Plus it looks great with the gold PENN spools:letsdrink
