I recently decided to take my 3 year old little boy hunting with me on private land in Santa Rosa County. It was raining and I really didn't expect for the two of us to see anything. We had only been in the stand for a short time when I looked up and saw a giant bobcat walking across my food plot. I told Caden to look at the big cat. I asked him if he wanted daddy to shoot him. Without hesitation he said,"yes." He covered his little ears as I got my 30-06 ready for the shot. I made a grunt to stop the wild cat and squeezed the trigger. The bobcat dropped instantly. The look in my child's eyes said it all. He was so excited. We got out of the blind and went to look at the first bobcat that i have ever killed. I'm 26 years old and have hunted ever since I was old enough to go with my dad. Now that I have a child of my own that was without a doubt the greatest hunt of my life. My child, after his first hunt, now shows,at 3 yrs. old, the same passion for the sport of hunting as I do. From that day onI don't go to the stand without daddy's hunting bubby. I love you Caden.
