I want to start hog hunting on eglin, I see them everywhere when I'm riding down trails. I assume I just need the proper permit at the jackson guard and I'm set. Is there a season or any useful info ya'll could give me. We used to ride around and pick them off out of the back of trucks in high school, but am guessing that's not the way to go.

Couldn't answer about the regs in Florida, but on WMA's here in Alabama something else has to be in season to be able to take hogs. Most of the time you have to use the weapon that's suitable for that season, ex: Bow in bow season for deer, shotgun when teal season is open, stuff like that.

You would also need your Florida hunting license on Eglin or any WMA. You need a hunter safety course to get that. Maybe that's the safety course you were thinking off? And there are big season for Eglin. It's not like private land in Florida where you can hunt them year round.

AL is 1977. And FL is after 1975. There are certain months for each, so if you're close you can google it.
