I am trying to get some general ideas of what kind of costs i am looking at for bush hogging per acre? I realize there are a lot of variables here, but I figured somebody on here has had some work done recently that could steer me in the ball park.

Is it just roads or established food plots? If it’s nothing crazy I have paid about $250 a few times for about a half days work.

The skid steer type mulching type machines are running about $200.00 an hour. Depending on how thick and how many acres, you might find just plain ole bushhogging for 50.00 - 75.00 an hour.

I have a guy that bushogs the roads, food plots and around the pond at our farm for $50/hr. Money well spent for me right now since I don't own a tractor and don't have the time. This is in north Covington County.
