Been thru about 4 jacks in the last 2 years (whenI bought my boat), but this new jack is a keeper. The teeth are on the outside of the polefor easy greasing. Sure beats dealing with those other cheap trailer jacks that rust & want crank. FYI if you are looking for a trailer jack you might look at a Bulldog
