Saturday was a beautiful day to be in the turkey woods. Lane and I enjoyed it greatly; and as you might expect when hunting with Lane, a mid-morning snack is a real treat. Tail-gating in the woods; scrambled eggs, county fried potatoes, and sauteed pork shoulder, followed by hot coffee and the morning paper. Ymm.(No, the PNJ did not deliver the paper in the woods. They did however manage to get it delivered to our doorsteps before we left at 0420. Not a peep from the turkey birds, but we sure enjoyed our breakfast.
