The sheepshead are here, and they are hungry! Today we got a special treat while heading back in. I spotted birds working a large bait pod and when I got closer I couldn't believe my eyes. There were 500+ redfish busting baits. It was game on. There were a couple of other captains and a few local anglers working the school with me. Everyone had fun watching the reds busting baits and even more fun hooking them.

<SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt; FONT-FAMILY: 'Times New Roman'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA">We hooked 10 good fish and boated 8. It was a lot of fun on light tackle. Jeff and his two sons Shane and Ericwere having a blast hooking up these powerful fish and watching them come to the surface busting baits. What a great way to end a trip. Before we saw the reds I was drifting the pass. We caught15 sheepshead and two big bull redfish. It was already a great trip. So when we stumbled across this wad of reds it made a great trip an even better trip! I'll post the pics of the reds. Below are some pics of my past sheepshead trips.<P align=center><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt; FONT-FAMILY: 'Times New Roman'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA">Jeff with a monster bull red!<P align=center><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt; FONT-FAMILY: 'Times New Roman'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA">

Awesome pics! I was watching the boats as I was leaving the base by the pass. I almost drove off the road daydreaming about me being out there with them.
