Anyone got one of the new Matthews Drenaline? I'm deciding on a new bow and I'm stuck. They're all so close to being the same. Bowtech is fast but rough and loud. Matthews smooth and quiet. They're actually on the cheaper side of the wallet as well.

What are you guys shootin?

I have a Bowtech Allegiance I bought last year form Outcast and I love it. The problem I faced with Matthews is that Mikes was the only place you could get it in P-cola and I like to deal with locals but hate Mikes. I went into Mikes and stood around the bows for 30 minutes and no one even asked me if I needed any help (same as usual every time I have every been there... If you want help, you gotta ask for it and good luck getting any real help from them).

I checked specs on a lot of bows and the problem is that you can not test drive them like you get to do with a car and even if you do, the bow is not set up for you and it makes it hard to make your decision still. I went to Buck-n-Bass and they treated me like an outsider so the PSE was out at that point even though I was 99% sold on it due to the reviews.

Have you looked at Ross? I keep seeing them pop up and the reviews are GREAT on them. I never looked at them when I was in the market but after reading and doing research, I think Ross may be my next one!!!!

Got a BowTech Tribute last year. My experience has been that it is a quiet and efficient bow. I have taken 3 deer with it so far. Got a doe and a minute later a 7 point with it last year in IL so there is proof that it is quiet.

Outcast was very helpful and have given me great service on the bow.

You can come by Outcast and shoot any bow I have I would suggest the Bowtech Tribute and allegiance as well as the Black Ice (probably best shooting bow I got IMO) Ross Archery is what I shoot and I love it. The cr331 and the Cardiac are fine shooting bows as well.

I bought a Hoyt Vetrix this past year and the thing is bad ass. My next choice would have been a Bow Tech. I shot the drenalin and hated it. I have to agree with Chris on the Mikes thing there in store service sucks but if you buy a Matthews I would get the Switchback XT before I got the drenalin. Check out Tommy at Gulf coast outdoors in Pace and look at what Hoyt has to offer. You wont be disappointed.

Go to OutCast and shoot a Ross Cardiac before you make your final decision, it would more than likely be a mistake not to look at the Ross.

As many bow companies have become very large and successful their ability and sincerity about reacting to the people have already bought a bow has changed. It used to be that Mathews would bend over backwards and do summersalts for the people that owned their products and at no expense to the owner. Try to get a Mathews repaired now. I own a Hoyt Vectrix and I dred the day that I need something done, and you may have heard these stories as well.

From what I understand Ross has not changed their philosophy to this way of thinking and their lifetime warrantee is a "LIFETIME WARRANTEE", which makes a very big differnce later on.

I AM A BIG MATHEWS FAN BUT I HAVE NOT HEARD ANYTHING BUT GOOD COMMENTS ON THE BOWTECH. I THINK THAT YOUR BEST DECISION IS TO GO WHERE YOU FEEL YOU CAN GET THE BEST SERVICE AND QUALIFIED BOW MECHANIC. SERVICE AND BOW KNOWLEDGE ARE VERY IMPORTANT AFTER THE POINT OF SALE IN THE ARCHERY LINE. GOOD LUCK!:toast THIS COMING FROM SOMEONE WHOS FAMILY OWNED A SPORTING GOODS STORE FOR 55 YEARS!

ive set up every bow probably imaginable.... and not to brag but could probably tell you more about one bow then the next guy.... however i will tell you this, it's not the bow at all.... some guys like dual cams. some guys like single, some like hybrids and so forth, this day and age they are all good, and pretty much cant go wrong with any of them, i know most of the guys at most of the bow manufacturers and they are all stand up people and all stand firmly behind their bows.... they all shoot great in 2007 and 08', if you are looking for something that holds better value however and want to sell it in the years to come, i will suggest a mathews bow, they do hold their value better then any other bow on the market period, im not direciting you to this bow just stating value facts, my suggestion is to go shoot a bunch side by side and choose whats best for you and your wallet, take the ride up to jay to scotts and they will let you shoot every bow they have side by side.... you will have no problems whatsoever deciding from that point their ranges are from bowtech to ross, to mathews to pse, and can order you anything you want, i wont talk bad about mikes either, those guys are stand up as well... talk to stan or pat and they will gladly hook you up on something.... hope this helps, if theirs anything i can do to help anymore drop me a pm and i'll be glad to assist you, godbless!

I WOULD SAY YOU NEED TO GO SHOT ALL THE BOWS YOU CAN. I DID THIS IN NORTH CAROLINA AND SHOT EVERY THING THEY HAD. WITHOUT LOOKING AT NAMES OR PRICE. WALKED AWAY WITH BEAR TRUTH ONLY BECAUSE OF HOW IT FELT TO ME. I AM NEW TO ARCHERY AND COULD ONLY GO WITH WHAT FELT GOOD. AND LIKE THE MAN TOLD ME THEY ARE ALL GREAT BOWS. I HAD 1200.00 TO SPEND AND WALKED OUT JUST UNDER 850.00 SMILLING THEN AND STILL SMILLING GOOD LUCK!

My son came home from college this weekendwhere he plays baseball and my brother invited him to go hunting. He bought a license Saturday night and went hunting this morning, hasn't pulled his bow back in a few years. About 1/2 hour after daylight about 6 does walked out on him he drew and dropped a 75 lb doe within 30 yards of his stand graveyard dead. 1 shot 1 kill, just like his old man a chip off the old block.

Thanks Guys

I just purchased a Bowtech Black Ice from Mike's during their Annual Tent Sale for hunters. Brandon hooked me up and I am ready to hunt. Just wanted to say thanks to Stan and Brandon for taking care of my Bow hunting needs. Also, picked up a couple of discounted ladder stands as well.

To be honest with ya...I shoot an old Darton..real old. Last year I took my bow to a bow shop to get the best rest for a standard window that money could buy, The man is a pro. He has a shop in Tampa called The Arrowhead.Everyone I shot with said I MUST buy a new bow. ..This man never spoke a word , put his best rest on ,set me up and a loop on for 20.00..He watched me shoot a few arrows. I loved his non pressure tactics and with credit card ready I chuckled and said I really needto buy a new bow...don't I ?This man had about 100 trophies all over his. store...including grizzlys from Alaska. He looked at me and said," YOu don't need a new bow, yours is all you need for white tails and hogs." WOW! I was impressed. The old bow easily shoots groups in a 2 inch circle..I'm set...maybe for life..In summary..do you really need a new bow?
