Gulf Islands National Seashore Announces Dedication of Blueway Trail at Perdido Key

Gulf Islands National Seashore Superintendent Dan Brown announced today a dedication for a Blueway trail for canoes and kayaks at Perdido Key Area of the national seashore. A 2-hour ranger led paddle along the Blueway will follow the ribbon cutting on Saturday November 17. Participants should meet at 10:00 am at the canoe launch area immediately north of Rosamond Johnson Beach. Participants should also provide their own canoe or kayak for the 2-hour paddle. “Funding for the 5.5 - mile Blueway was provided by a grant from the National Park Foundation and includes a trail exhibit, signage and trail brochure,” said Brown.

Superintendent Brown encourages everyone to visit the Seashore to join us for our dedication of the Blueway.
