I hunted last year during the polar vortex in late January. I recall my tree strap kept freezing to the buckle as I went up the tree. I didn't see a single animal....not even a bird or a squirrel. It was the coldest sit I have ever had...including my hunts in northern MS and southern Tennessee. Good luck if you go. Bundle up. Be safe.
Them cold / windy mornings haven't ever been very productive for me for seeing deer, be good time to get the shotgun out and stomp some thickets, have jumped some good bucks that way, be surprised how close they'll let you get before they decide to jump.
