Last day of general gun, decided to sit near the river off Norman riley. The woods are full of smoke, guess they ain't gonna be satisfied till they burn every inch of Blackwater in one year.

At least they are burning during acceptable times. We have property in the middle of blackwater that it took them two years after we requested multiple times to burn off. One of the idiots decided that they would finally get to it the last few days in May after we had had over a month of hot weather and ended up killing about 20 percent of our pines! We had prepped the boundaries and around shooting houses in November and they kept telling us every few weeks that they were getting to it as soon as the weather cooperated. Well around February we just gave up and never heard anything back . Drive up to plant summer plots and the damn place had just been burned.
Yea, they should change the name

There is a river up there?:001_huh: It's a crick brother!:whistling:;)
Can't complain to much a lot of places don't even do burns and you have to walk through the thickest of the thick.
in my opinion, burns only help the herd and the hunting. It definitely keeps your scent down.

Forest Service must of burn close by ...when I got to work all I could smell was smoke.
I like burned woods...... after the rain they will lay on burnt ground.

Curdogman,
Were you sitting on the south end of Norman Riley Rd. Someone popped some powder at 6:45 this morning. Good thump..sound like a connection.
Wasn't me that shot, I heard it too. All I saw was a couple of slick heads
