Need to replace the sheet foam in an aluminum boat. Pour in foam isn't an option.

What about new sheet foam? You can buy sheets fairly reasonably at roofing supply houses.

Goes without saying but anything you put in a boat should a closed cell foam that is also flame retardant. Most of the stuff you find at the home stores will be highly combustible.

Probably need two 2"x4'x8' sheets. Fire hazard is not an issue. Open hull freshwater boat. Thinking the blue or pink insulation from home depot.

Most of that stuff will not support combustion. It will burn as long as there is other fuel around to keep it hot but all alone it gradually goes out. If I'm right, and my wife says I'm usually wrong, then you should be OK in an open aluminum boat.
