Years age (30) I would help divers get back on the boat of the Chulamar, and most of the time the divers would hand me a loaded speargun with the tip pointing at my face because they would forget to unload it as they were coming up. I learned to holler at them before hand. Gave me the creeps.

OMG... Can you imagine that happening 100' under water. All I can think about is the vibration of the water as it passes over the spear on the way up and then the climb into the boat... YEE OW!!!

I meant get away from your soon to be not buddy, my luck he would have a powerhead! I can't imagine what happened, but at least it is in a nonvital area so the victim doesn't bleed to death. A good point was made earlier though, can you imagine trying to make a safe normal ascent? Bad juju...
