Anyone have a crimping tool they will rent me for a few minutes? I really do not want to purchase one for a one time deal. West Marine has one I can borrow but it is on a bench and I do not want to take the battery cable out of the boat.
Thanks

You can also buy solder pellets. Drop em in the lug and heat the wire and lug and insert it. I done mine about a year ago and haven't had any problems.

I have used a small set of bolt cutters to crimp these lugs and my lugs are still working going on 5 years. Just watch how much pressure you apply. The solder pellets are a real good idea, also a nut splitter works for crimping. Just some ideas if you can not find a crimp tool.

Thanks, I found a nut splitter a Harbor Freight today. I am thinking of taking it apart and grinding the end a little to dull it down so it does not try and split the lug. I will pick up some solder pellets and use them also.

thanks for the advise
