im lookin to make a bbq cooker on a trailer anyone know where can get a barrel or the cooker already made..

check the welding shop one block north of 9 mile road on old hwy 29.

Barrels don't last long if you use it a lot. Try to find an old steel water tank. Don't use a Galvinized tank.

when I was in TX, we used to make them out of 24 and 36" oil pipe. I hadone that was 7' long. The oil pipe was pretty readily available down there and worked better than anything else I've ever used. If you can find some locally, that's what I would recommend using.

Yep, those are very popular in South LA also.

They seem to last forever.

There is a guy around the corner from my house that makes them...allways has a few diffrent models out in front of his house..smokers etc.. give me a idea what your looking for ill go see how much...or stop by and we will cruise over and chat with him.

Up in Michigan they would use outdated propane tanks. The bigger horizontal ones.

Torchem into clamshell halves.

Maybe the local propane dealer will sell you an outdated one instead of taking it to the scrap yard?

Check out this website www.lacajachina.com Went to a party a years ago that a guy did a pig in one of these and it turned out really good. He said it is so easy.
