Word is the wahoo have been thick this last week, has anybody been over that way since its cooled off? Planning a trip sunday

I went last Monday didn't get any hits but chris v caught 2 wahoo around the 50 fathom line

Are the hoo still more active in the early A.M. then dying off?

They're still there. They should stick around until the water temps drop below about 75. It'll get pretty slow after that.

We lost a stud on Monday in addition to the 2 we landed

Had two wahoo's about 10miles NE of the elbow Wed. In about 300' of water. Rough,rough out there.

I've got everything ready to go for tomorrow. I guess it depends on how much the seas build tonight. I want to go BAAAAAADD!!!

We went today and went O for 1 on Wahoo. We were getting rods rigged up to get ready to start trolling just south of the Ozark and one Ilander with a myllet was dangling in the water and don't you know a Hooter hit it. Bowed that rod over and ended up pulling the hook. Had a mystery knock down heading West of the Ozark.

We bottom fished last weekend out there (Friday and Saturday). 7 scamp on Friday, and 9 scamp and a speckled hind on Saturday, but the only thing which hit our floating/flat line were kings and sharks. We never trolled trying to target hoos specifically, however.
