Hey everyone I've been trying to figure out some kind of crate to use on the back of my kayak and have come up empty so far...

I have a Ocean Kayak Scrambler Xt angler edition and the rear well is kind of a weird size.....it's about 14inch by 11inch.....

Any suggestions/ideas would be greatly appreciated.....I just am looking for something I can mount a rod holder or 2 on!

Take the measurements and fabricate something outta wood if all else fails...Or fin you can find an old small cooler w/ those dimensions, use it and mount the rod holders to it....

Maybe a file crate from Office Depot. I used to use one close to those dimensions. They aren't as sturdy as a milk crate, but get the job done.

May not be what you're looking for, but I use an Engels 30qt dry box/cooler that I've mounted a 3-rod setup on. Can use it to carry gear safely (great dry box), can use it as a cooler, a live bait well, or to hold your fish. About $60. J&M Tackle has them in Gulf Shores. They come in white or tan.
