We left perdido at about 7 and tried to catch bait with no luck, so hunkered down and headed out. The seas were forecast to be 2-3, we encountered swells about 4-5 feet :shifty: . Anyway, we decided we didn't want to go anymore than 10 miles, so we set up shop at some spots at the beginning of the "trolling corridor" at about 8 miles from Perdido. We set out two lines (no outriggers  ) with skirted balleyhoo and BAM!, one Amberjack in the boat. After that, we don't get any hits for a while, so we try and anchor on one of those spots and do some bottom fishing. Problem is, without any bait and rough seas, we can't even get an anchor down, so we quickly abandon that idea. A flatline we had out hooked up on a small cobia, which was enough to convince me of the importance of a flatline. After, we went back to trolling, and landed two Kings. All in all, it was a nice trip with some good friends, and we enjoyed ourselves a lot.
