I want to give a shout out to Hog Trap Builder extraordinaire Tim Land! Tim and I (well really Tim) built a trap a few weeks ago and last weekend we got four and this morning three sows. The big girl was 200lbs plus!

We've also I got a boar that we nicknamed "Hogzilla"! He's the black ho in the picture and dwarfs the big sow we got today...

Yes it was made with two panels and six 6' "T" posts. I don't have a close up of the door but Tim Land "TSpecks" on the forum is the expert for sure. I can tell you if you don't drive those posts down really good the big pigs will knock down the panels.

We baited for about 3 weeks before setting the trap for the first time last week when we got four. Then I set it again Saturday evening and Sunday morning we trapped the three you see on the tailgate of the truck. That 200 lb sow did a number on the panels but they held up.

Congrats on the catch. Your traps are similar to what a group called Jager Pro uses. If you look them up on the internet you can find videos and their site. they also tell you how to be successful at trapping a whole sauder and what fence panels work the best for hogs. They even have some fancy wireless video and door tripping devices. You might want to give it a look at least to see what fence panel might work better.
