Went out to 3MB Saturday night bout 9 or so... not much happening for a while. Current was strong, couldnt even keep our bait planted. Then, round bout 3:15am or so, it busted loose! Had 4 hook ups within 20 mins. My son was with me so I let him handle the rods. He has never caught a big fish. I didnt see him doing anything wrong, but we lost all 4, two broke the lines, which I think they ran the line against a piling and cut it, the other two got off the hook. Still was a good night as he at least got to feel what it was like to hook a big fish. We also had a sting ray swim by and get hooked on one line. He ended up breaking the line as well. So we hooked up, didnt bring anything on deck, lost some tackle, but still was a good night.. Be back at them tuesday night and hopefully will land one this time......

Sounds good. Invest in som stronger line. Suffix 17 is the best. The clear kind, no color. i have kings wrap around pilings and I just pulled them out, line didnt snap, bu it freyed a lil. That should help. Sounds like you had a school of bull reds come through.
