Thinking about trolling around the 3 mb friday morning to see if i can snag a bay king! Any one care to join?

I'm going to get bait in Texar, good menhaden source. Gonna troll the bridge from the Texar side to about the middle (side depending on wind) using live menhaden on a wire leader with a stinger and a balloon and cross my fingers.

Sounds like a good plan! Let me know how it works out! Do you use a rod and reel to catch ur bait or a cast net?

A little while back I decided to get brave. I've always been good at throwing a net so I figured why not try sitting down and throwing from the yak, it works. Just have to be careful to get everything clear while you are throwing and not put too much lean into it. I don't throw this way but it's a good starting place...

I figure worst that can happen is go for a swim and I have predecided that if I ever feel like I'm going to flip I'm just going to dive out and try to keep all my stuff inside.
