I have a charter tomorrow in Destin and a tournament over there Saturday so my good buddy Bryson and I decided to make a quick four hour trip this morning to try and locate some fish. The wind was stiff out of what seemed like EVERY direction. First cast of the morning was a hook-up.

I spotted a small red grazing around on a little sand flat so I made the cast and a sweet presentation and he hit it!! Small 19" fish but a nice catch either way.

After that we ran from the winds for a few minutes trying to find some protected waters to fish. I remembered a spot I've been dying to try but never get a chance due to either wind direction or boat traffic. Bryson and I eased in and located around 25-30 redfish. Lots of them were in the 4lb-6lb range. Bryson jacked this fish on a spoon.

It was one of the coolest bites I've seen in a while.

Wish us luck this weekend.... 20 mph out of the South we're gonna need it LOL

Nice fish Brad. Depending on if the winds start up from the SW, you may havealot of company in Destin and PC for a few days.
