Yes. I deal lead. For what he is offering, already poured, he will be lucky to get 5 bucks bottom 10 tops. It is a small amount and $1 pound is correct for a significant amount. Heck it's such a good deal you should jump on it! I was just giving him some info. You gave him some too. We will see who is correct.

I called the scrap yard on myrick st today they are paying $.50 lb for lead so you do the math
20x.50= $10 for scrap lead...

My thoughts:
Well, if you need some sinkers and aren't too far away, it's a bargain. If you are molding other sinkers in volume, not so much of a "deal" for scrap lead.
It seems to me that anyone can ask what they want for any item. If the're overpricing the item, a P. M. is the way to let them know. Keep it private. :yes:

How do you retrieve the lead out of a battery? I tried melting the whole thing, turned into a gooey mess.

Remove the acid, smash the hell out of it remove the plates from the plastic and use the lead plates. Or take it and get a few bucks for it from a reclame place.
