16' Wilderness Systems (Tarpon) SOT $550

SOLD
16' Wilderness Systems (Tarpon) Sit On Top
- Always stored indoors since new
- Foot steer rudder that raises & lowers w/pulley (pedals fully adjustable)
- (2) built-in rod holders & (1) adjustable scotty holder
- Sealed front and rear storage hatches
- Anchor trolley w/anchor
- Nice life jacket, paddle, bait bucket, & Frabill fold-up landing net

Kayak is very fast and stable. I haven't found too many that will keep up with it. I have had it in the Gulf lots of times and it handles great. The size is nice if you spend long days on the water. Tons of dry storage. The rudder has new cables and everything works perfectly.

$550 SOLD

New to kayaking. Looking to buy my first one. Just curious though. Would this be just as ideal to use in fresh water rivers as well as ocean?
I have a 2012 T160 and I must say it can definitely handle the ocean and I am sure that lakes would be easy peasy. I have fished out of mine off of Navarre and I have just cursed it around crab. The only complaint I have about it is it really doesn't turn vrey tight (w/o rudder). I have not tried it with a rudder yet and really I don't care to spend the money on that right now so I will just make big turns. Have to when you troll anyway. I love the 160.

If I need to turn tightly, I pull the cord, raise the rudder, and i'll turn it on a 16' dime. I have had it in rivers and if you want space and storage this is it. I have loaded it down with camping gear and it moves damn fast for a kayak. Anyone that is serious about buying, I live a !/2 mile from the sound and I would love to drop them in the water and paddle around and fish.

Yeah, they have to go. Posted them on craigslist but I would rather see a PFF member enjoy them. They are some great yaks though and $1100 for both is a steal. Both come 100% ready to fish with a beach dolly.
