Fished this morning in less than ideal conditions with the wind blowing 20-25 NNW. The bite started very slow. Had a good trout swing and miss a couple times at topwater. It took a while but I found a mess of fish and caught well over a limit. The fish were way of the bank (150 yds) an were in about 6-8 foot of water. All fish were caught on an Exude jerk bait rigged on a weighted weedless hook. With the temps cooling slow down your retrieve. I would only get bites when I would pop every 5 seconds or so.

Nice catch Jeff. I went for a little bit Thursday afternoon with no luck. Only fish I saw on FF were at 7-8 feet. I'll try slowing down some more next time.

You are a hadry soul, going out this morning. Got yourself a fine mess of fish for your trouble. I didn't think fish could see a topwater in such rough water.....Way to go.
