little late on the post. had monday off so headed out to portifino. sat out there for bout 3 hrs and as soon as i decided to call it a day, the rod bends south with a nice red. i didnt have a tape on me so i dont know how long he was, im guessing antwhere between 26-30''. caught on fresh dead shrimp and released him to fight another day.

Nice looking Red, I saw the Sandflea rake in your pic. Did you guys happen to see any fleas while you were out? It would've been hard for me to release that one. But, there are always other days, many, many more Reds to catch. My enjoyment comes from having the kids with me on the beach when I go so they can have fun.

not a single flea to be found on monday.went out this morning just to poke around. the water was a lot cleaner than earlier this week but it was like a washing machine due to the crazy winds obviously. i raked around for bout ten minutes and was able to rake up a couple. they sure are scarce.
