santa rosa sound

As the weather warms up, what are y’all catching and what are you using in the Santa Rosa Sound near Navarre? Types of lures? Types of bait? Where is the best information on the trends in fishing the area for each month.

I have never fished in salt water. We are going to be on vacation in October, and staying in Mary Esther. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. I am bring my boat.

I went to a spot DukeDevil91 told me about a few months ago and had a pretty good 45 minute run until I ran out of bait. I landed these 3 plus another legal red about 21 inches. I had a larger fish break off and one other good one got away. The black drum were 17 and 20 inches, the red 23.
