    These jigs do work very well on the grass flats and haven't noticed any missed bites because of the weedguard. Very, very nice jig for flounder, since it has a small, super sharp Gamakatsu hook. Have caught many upperslot reds on them and as long as drag isn't locked down, they will not bend out.

    hey jeff, looking at your reports and saw this on the jig. i would be interested in what your friend makes. i like a jig, but hate the weeds...have you used it? does it really work? thanks, jim

    Jeff nice catch I have a question..I am retiring this year and have boats but would like to do some wade fishing....I have waded on IC on sandy bottoms but at 67 I do not want to be knee deep in mud....are there some spots in upper bay around the river with solid bottoms?

    Those jigs are poured by a friend of mine. He does it for fun but I can find out if he would make more. You can also use store bought jig heads and drill a hole to add a weedguard. I use a 1/16" drill bit and it works well.
