Sorry but I just saw where you had asked the question about the fishing trip where we got into the nice groupers. The big gag was caught on a jig on the bottom in 450ft of water. Just bouncing the jig trying to catch a grouper. There were 3 more caught in this manner both snowy's and yellowedge. All the others were caught on some type of cut bait squid, blackfin, pogys etc. We were not on any public numbers as they all pretty much stop in 200-250ft. We were 60 or so miles south south east of dauphin island. Lots of rocks out there around the edge of the continental shelf. Google alabama pinnacles and there are public numbers for some good rocks to fish. If you'll send me an email I'll send you the numbers Im referring to. [email protected]
