I don't remember if I hit the remember me button but if it takes me a long time to type out a reply, it will time out and have to log back in.
However, nowadays, if it is taking me a long time to do something, I will highlight everything, right click to save.

I checked the sites "login session" expiry, the amount of time you have to be inactive before the site will log you out, and I found it to be a little low. 15 mins. I've bumped that to 30 mins, to at least give a better chance. Typing a reply or reading can't be tracked as activity, only clicks can be registered.

And of course to confirm what's been said, hitting Remember Me will by pass this setting and you'll remain logged in until you choose to log out, or you clear cookies and cache
