Default Pensacola Fishing Report 11/15/19

Well, as promised the bull redfish have made their prescense is Pensacola Bay. The Inshore fishing charters in Pensacola have had pretty hot action with the bulls. We are catching these fish sight fishing for them in Pensacola Bay. Best approach is to somewhat drift around and keep your eyes peeled for birds diving. Once we get there we cast into the school of feeding fish and its almost instant! With some spurts of waiting it is worth it when we get in to pure redfish CHAOS! We are using large curly tail with 1 and a half ounce heads or 1 to 2 ounce bucktail jigs. We should have pretty steady action from now till the end of the month. If you want to get on a true giant red fish now is the time!

Thanks for the confirmation that they are back and what to use. Good luck with the charters. Hoping to show my boat what the water feels like, it's been a while.

it has really varied each day. Best explanation I can give is to wait it out. Stay looking for birds or busting fish. Seems to be best right around the tide switch.

Yesterday I was on the bay from 10-2, generally between navy base and GB. The birds were hitting the water seldomly and when I got to that spot it was a bait ball of glass minnows, but nothing was below them or feeding. Yesterday's low tide was about 4sh, so maybe I missed the best time.
